Central venous catheter-related bloodstream infection (CRBSI) is a serious complication in central venous catheter management. Because of the high rate of infection, patients were advised to avoid the femoral vein whenever possible.
Today we present an article from a French multicenter cohort study examining the association between recent central venous catheter insertion sites and CRBSI.
