Announcement of the 1st Research Meeting

The J-IVCARES Research Meeting was established as a platform to discuss research related to VADs (Vascular access devices: intravascular indwelling catheters). The meeting is scheduled every three to four months and is intended to be a useful forum for all healthcare professionals involved in the management of VADs.

AVATAR (Alliance for Vascular Access Teaching and Research) is an Australian VAD research organization founded by Professor Claire Rickard in 2007. The fact that the representative director of J-IVCARES had studied in Australia and that there is no similar organization in Japan led to the establishment of this association.
