In this second installment of our overseas academic conference participation experience report, we introduce the Pre-Congress Workshop.
Three Pre-Congress Workshops were held in parallel at the University of Wollongong, with Workshop 1 entitled "Planning the Exit Site for Optimal Dressing and Securement".Practical training in insertion of central venous access devices using a donated bodyWorkshop 2 will be held as "Principles and Practice for Difficult Venous Access".Practical course on ultrasound-guided peripheral venous catheter insertion for difficult venous accessand "The Future is Here: Virtual Reality and More in Vascular Access Education" in Workshop 3.Courses focused on innovative technologies in vascular access educationwas provided.
I participated in Workshop 3,Vascular access education system using VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality), and MR (mixed reality) technologiesThe students learned about The actual operation of the VR application and the training model with 3D printing technology allowed us to experience the possibilities of technological innovation in medical education. the VR allowed us to practice catheter puncture and echocardiography mindlessly, which was a very enjoyable experience.

It was also very meaningful to have unexpected encounters with people I spoke with in the workshops and in the hallways, such as a professor from overseas and a speaker at the conference the next day.
