Changes brought about by ICU admission criteria (severity of illness, medical and nursing care needs)

In April 2014, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare introduced the ICU admission criteria (severity of illness, medical and nursing care needs)I did.
This criterion is based on the number of patients who can be admitted to the ICU asLimited to "those requiring a certain level of monitoring or treatment."The system is based on the implementation status of the program and reimbursement is calculated accordingly.
As a result, the type of patients that ICUs receive and the type of medical and nursing care they provide are now evaluated not only from the standpoint of quality of care but also from the standpoint of management.
