Comparison by arterial line material Randomized controlled trial

In this issue.Does the material of the arterial line make a difference in the incidence of catheter failure? This is a double-blind randomized trial called It was terminated early with a firm difference.

Blood pressure monitoring via arterial catheter is an essential procedure for hemodynamic assessment of critically ill patients in the ICU. (It has been reported that arterial pressure lines are inserted in up to 981 TP3T of patients admitted to the ICU.)Arterial line failure occurs in patients with 3-261 TP3T within 3 days of insertionCatheterization can cause blood pressure to drop, impairing the accuracy of blood pressure measurements and often requiring line reinsertion, which interferes with patient management. Catheter insertion can also lead to clot formation, increasing the risk of catheter-related bloodstream infections and other potentially fatal complications.
